Bellerive Oval

Bellerive Oval
Bellerive Oval sits on the eastern shores of the Derwent River, only a short 10-minute drive from Hobart’s city centre. Originally opened in 1914, the venue didn’t take its place as Hobart’s first-class cricket headquarters until the 1987-88 season.
The ground has been upgraded significantly over time, with the new Ricky Ponting Stand opening in early 2015 in time for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. Bellerive Oval currently hosts both domestic and international cricket, as well as Australian Football League matches.
